I'm so over Covid

Jun 8

Come on now. Seriously? You've overstayed your welcome, Covid. I think the last time I did something fun in public was at the beginning of March 2020. March 8th, I think it was. I went with my bestie to see Christone Kingfish Ingram - a fantastic bluesman. What a great night. He even did a great solo trip through the crowd (just like Buddy Guy loves to do) - people were packed in - The Kingfish was working hard - and we all were sweating and hollering and just enjoying life. Until - we weren't...

The next day - oh man - the next day. It all came tumbling down. And - now - here we still are... I have both doses. Things are beginning to open -- but no one really seems to know what's going to happen. The US is wide open in so many places -- but there a lots of tinfoil wearing freaks of nature not willing to do their part. History repeats itself.

Anyway - I just want to head out for a bite to eat and something to drink. I don't care if I have to sit outside on a bench. I just. Don't care. I don't want to write about - or hear about - Covid any longer - I'm over it. So over it.
